Been traveling a lot lately, but wanted to start on blog-catch-up-twenty-ten!
This is Isla; you may recognize her in belly form. Again, we love just shooting in people’s homes. We like to think years from now when everyone is living in floating hover-homes, they’ll look back at our images and see how people lived, “Back on Earth.”
This family is one of those dangerous ones that makes us wonder what a little Mary + The Joel concoction would be like. Then I snap back to reality and just continue to be intrigued by other people’s offspring.
Isla is so animated, and already a determined, independent soul. What other baby would go all day without sleeping? I think she’s born to be a night owl. Note that she even has a boyfriend, Henry, on the mobile above her crib. (Yeah; Michelle and Doug are that cool, and we’re so looking forward to their wedding in August!!
I wonder if Isla will still be with Henry then, or if she’ll have another date to the wedding…)

With all the website, behind the scenes, travel stuff we’ve been doing lately, we have some catching up to do with ACTUAL images of people! *yay!* So we’ll be catching up on that as well as a few weddings we still need to blog about. Here is a peek at little Isla. If she looks familiar, you may recognize her parents.

Some graffiti made me smile the other day. It was red, and sprayed on way too thick & drippy so kinda looked like blood or something, but it said, “follow your heart” on the side of our building. That was it. I went out to take a picture of it yesterday and it was already covered up. How is a block of gold spray paint better than poetry? I’ve never been one for creating vandalism, but this makes me pause to reconsider that…and assess my spray paint skills. Maybe I’ll start off with sidewalk chalk and work my way up.
Moral of the Story : Don’t let others cover up your poetic graffiti. Follow your heart.
