We stopped to figure it up and have been traveling out of town, three of the seven weeks we’ve lived in our new place. We’ve become quite skilled at sleeping on airplanes.
As our wedding season draws to a close, we have to admit that we are excited to spend some time making our new place a home-vs. the fort made of boxes that it is now. Our first little home when we got married was a one bedroom, 500 sq. ft. “house.” (Although, it was more like a gnome-size cottage.) We have since gone from a three bedroom, 100-year-old house and a separate commercial studio space…down to a 600 sq. ft. studio. It’s pretty liberating learning what you do and don’t need; and seeing how quickly stuff goes when you put an ad on Craigslist, “Free stuff in yard; take it!”
Here are a few images, just a block within our studio. Felt a little bit like an art school kid meandering about the streets, but was a refreshing change of pace. Hope you enjoy! (And yes…the train tracks are just a block away! But we’ve gotten used to it.
