When two people just want to share an open space, eat good food, hear good music, and toast the ones they love. Sans the ceremony.
We have been delaying sharing this with everyone as we thought we’d be hit with a muse that can beautifully describe this day. It didn’t happen. Instead we are still left marinating in the dancing, the celebration, the beauty of a sheared field, all contrasted with their days spent in a hospital praying for a loved one given a 10% chance. Leaves us with an inadequate combinations of words.
Remembered that we did write this to them, and thought it would be good to share. Hannah (Kelty’s doppelgänger sister, AKA “twin”) had sent out a request to all the guests. “We’d like to invite you all to jot us an email with your top five favorite moments/memories from the weekend. They can be bullet points or paragraphs, personal observations or grand generalizations…. Whatever you’d like to share with them.”
Here were our responses:
. . . .
Kelty & Hannah are purveyors of pretty over at The Weaver House. Justin pulls edibles from the dirt where there used to just be rocks. David Wax Museum played incredible music late into the night, Navarre served beautiful meats, veggies, and breads and used as many of Justin’s veggies as possible, The Green Dandelion brought beautiful texture, color combinations in the florals, and Tender Bar served up boozy delight from local distilleries mixed with custom syrups. Friends enthusiastically worked beside them throughout the week and weekend to make this day possible.
Her aunt (one leg down) is doing well and back home in Spain. Kelty + Hannah are there now as she returns to enjoying everyday life.
Some of their images are down below, more can be found in their gallery. There is a mix of 35mm (mostly double exposure) + digital images.
